PALACE 0.5 (SYDNEY)
ft Francis Xavier + Horowitz
First Release Tix: avail 14/2/17
Hellbent on sharing some tasty morsels of house and techno with everyone, PALACE is your silver platter, your bridge across the moat, your knight in shining armour, your finely tuned donkey into deep dance space from which there is no return.
We as your loyal hosts do solemnly swear to uphold our deep seeded values in great dance music, to ensure the finest is reserved for you, our hood, our family.
Welcome to the PALACE journey
Sydney based DJ/Producer/Engineer/Musician/Party promoter/Label owner/Synth hoarder Francis Xavier has been mixing it up with what can only be described as a homage to his many long nights spent delving into the dark recesses of clubs, studios, and appeasing music lovers the world over.
For young Horowitz, the nature nurture dichotomy is particularly important. With a surname like Horowitz, he was practically born into the darker side of dance music but growing up in the fun loving coastal town of Byron Bay, his music exudes a certain light-hearted quality. Horowitz’s sound is a truly unique property in comparison to the other artists on the Unknown Records roster. His international techno flavour that infuses his jovial and laid-back personality into classic dark techno vibes sets the benchmark for the perfect hybrid in ultimate rave tunes.

Crown Ruler & Niche Productions are beaming with excitement to invite you to ‘You’re A Melody;’ a dance with Floating Points & Red Greg at Jam Gallery on Friday 27th of January.
This underground adaptation of their infamous Plastic People residency in the UK will see FP & RG going heart2heart and brain2brain in the basement for all 6 hours.
Sam Shepherd AKA Floating Points and Darren Griffiths AKA Red Greg are two of the UK’s most respected diggers and DJs, who were united by their shared affection for the elusive track 'You're a Melody' by small time Michigan soul band, Aged in Harmony. After Darren guided Sam in hunting down one of the scarcely owned original pressings of the record, the two teamed up with Mafalda & the Y.A.M. enthusiasts she deems ‘Team For Someone Special,’ to reissue the 45” through ‘Melodies International’.
The much loved broadcasts of You’re A Melody parties speak for themselves, where cheering crowds eagerly wait for the needle to drop on Floating Points & Red Greg’s cherished tunes. From roaring modern soul ballads and brazilian bunsens, to funk cuts you could bang someone over the head with, their euphoric selections always aim to create a dance floor where the audience aren’t looking at the stage but are instead looking at each other.
FP and RG are going in from 9pm and flowing on til the early hours, for what is set to be a very special night of music with the Melodies Family.
“Melodies International’s mission is to spread love all over the land in general and happiness in dance floors in particular!” - Mafalda (Melodies International)

// Robbie Lowe //
Robbie has always owned a warm house and tech-house sound. Vibey, underground baselines, snappy percussion and warmth in his choice of melodies. In the latter early years, you would usually see Robbie at Sydney's leading record stores hunting down the latest End Recordings or Eukatech. Not much has changed. His approach is an ever-updated version of the style he has always had since then. Diverse, deep and his programming is deadly. Pin point accuracy and never losing the flow. And as far as mixing, he's the tightest of them all. Steady as a rock.

Boris Brejcha //
Boris combines his sound with a maximum of variety which has no peer. Each song is some kind of its own adventure. Once in a relation with elements of electro, break beats, IDM, or sometimes with small Ambient parts.
The progressive musical development made him a constant favorite in today's club scene. With his ambition and desire for new and experimental musical directions, he shows his audience again and again how exciting minimal techno can be – so much more than just simple. Boris Brejcha is much more than just a minimal techno Artists. He is a Pinoeer! No kind of music could describe his style, so he decided to create his own genre.
Her whole live she experimented with so many differnt kind of music until she found her passion in electronic music.
The turn over to specializes herself in 2010 when she started to produce on her own.
She is a newcomer on a straight way to evaluate the dancefloors worldwide.
For sure she will not dissapoints you with less experience, she surprieses everyone with more expression in any way.

BLACK BIRD HUM
A morbid blend of roots, reggae and folk, wound together with captivating hooks, solid grooves and haunting harmonies. Sydney artists black bird hum announced themselves to the world with their deadly debut album “In Time” - a record that swung from gentle, ghostly ballads to the type of big‐band reggae that throws everything at you from ghoulish horns to percussion to skeletal synths and delay‐drenched keys.
As well as supporting Arrested Development (USA) the band have shared the stage with the likes of Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Collie Buddz (USA), Kingfisha, Six60 (NZ), King Tide and The Strides; dismembering fans from Sydney to Byron Bay and back. The last few years has also included a run of murderous festival performances that includes back‐to‐back Peats Ridge Festivals and FBi Radio's Reggae Carnival.
